East Stroudsburg Salvation Army Harvest Festival & Auction
Fall is fast approaching, and as the weather cools and the harvest season settles in, we will have the opportunity to celebrate those that do so much for our community. Make your plans to attend the East Stroudsburg Salvation Army’s Harvest Festival & Auction this month, complete with delicious food and some gorgeous prizes!

When and Where

The Harvest Festival and Auction will take place at the Ridgecrest Stroudsmoor Country Inn on Thursday, October 10. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. The Country Inn is located at 231 Stroudsmoor Road, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania 18360. Entry is $65 per person.

Silent and Live Auctions

Starting at 5:30 you can participate in the event’s silent auction. During the social hour, you can freely peruse the various offerings up for grabs, and if you see something you’d like to take home, you can sign up with your bid. Expect a tremendous variety, as there will be nearly 200 items in the 2019 silent auction. After the evening’s reception and presentation, dessert will be served and the live auction will commence. Here, you can participate in the exhilarating classic auction as high-quality prizes are presented for the bidding. This year’s goods include fine arts, handbags, jewelry, gourmet baskets, golf, ski, and vacation packages, collectibles, antiques, and more. You can keep track of the local Salvation Army’s Facebook page for sneak peeks of the auctions’ prizes.

The Reception and Presentation

If the excitement of the silent auction stirs your appetite, you can enjoy a variety of heavy hors d’oeuvres around the space or at the comfort of your seat. The reception time will coincide with the silent auction, so even if you’re not there to bid on those appealing prizes, you can mingle and socialize to your heat’s content.

At 7:15, the Salvation Army will recognize a community member for their dedicated service and achievements. For 2019, the event will present Patrick Ross with the Ann and Joseph Farda Community Service Award, an honor bestowed on individuals who demonstrate the values and dedication of its namesakes. Following the conclusion of the presentation, stick around for dessert starting at 7:30 p.m. Keep in mind that the dress code for this event is business causal.
