Heritage and Family Fun
Over the course of the weekend, you can enjoy delicious Irish dishes like fish and chips, bangers and mash, corned beef, and Jameson’s beef on weck. There will also be a host of vendors each presenting their own Celtic craft wares. Live music will fill the air, and Irish step dancers will perform with agility and poise. You can even watch sheep dogs in their element as they exercise their working instincts. Children will be thrilled by the Celtic magic show, and there will also be a petting zoo and face painting.
You’ll hear a mix of traditional Celtic styles and contemporary stylings with strong Irish and Scottish roots. The MacKay Pipe Band has preserved Scottish marching band music in the region since the 1970s as a skilled outfit of bagpipe and drum experts. House of Hamill is a guitar/fiddle duo with a repertoire of their own original jigs and songs, exploring how their traditional training can be applied to modern songwriting. Rogue Diplomats bring classic Irish pub music to the festival, complete with the charm, wit, and humor that have delighted listeners across the East Coast. As long as they have their instruments in hand, you may here some American folks tunes as well.
